This past September I was invited to give a talk as part of the BC Research Libraries Group Lecture Series. As part of the invitation I gave the same talk at Simon Fraser University one day and at the University of Victoria the next day.
My talk was entitled: Bring It On! Why the Crisis in Academic Librarianship is the Best Thing Ever and What We Should Do About It.
The session at SFU was captured. The lecture and the Q&A are included. The whole thing is just under 2 hours (the talk is ~45 mins; the discussion went on for the rest of the time; very lively). It was a pure delight to engage with curious and insightful colleagues over the two days. As always, I learned more than the audience did.
